The founding partner and chief executive officer of Sturbridge Capital, Salam Chaudhary has 20 years of private equity experience, including leveraged buyouts, secondary private equity, and venture capital.
Prior to founding Sturbridge, Chaudhary was a principal at Wind Point Partners, a Chicago-based middle-market private equity firm with $2.5 billion of assets under management. During his 13 years at Wind Point, Chaudhary focused on middle-market leveraged buyout transactions in the consumer and health care industries. He was responsible for equity investments of $150 million that generated gross realized and unrealized value of $450 million (3.0x). Chaudhary completed 13 acquisitions with total enterprise value of more than $800 million, including several public to private transactions, bankruptcies, corporate spin-offs and foreign transactions.
Chaudhary’s experience also includes serving as an investment banking analyst at First of Michigan, Detroit. He began his investment career in his hometown of Toledo, Ohio, as an analyst at Health Care REIT and an intern at Northwest Ohio Venture Fund.
Chaudhary earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Economics from the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Va.
Bradley Bowles - Analyst
Bradley Bowles is an analyst at Sturbridge Capital. He is responsible for evaluating secondary private equity investments.
Bowles came to Sturbridge Capital from Stout Risius Ross, a global advisory firm specializing in investment banking, valuation, dispute advisory, and forensic services. As an analyst in Valuation and Financial Opinions, Bowles performed valuations for holding companies invested in real estate, private equity, and marketable securities
Bowles graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Finance and a minor in Economicsfrom Michigan State University, East Lansing.
Michael Elliott - Analyst
Michael Elliott is an analyst at Sturbridge Capital.
He is responsible for transaction execution, investor reporting, and supporting business development activities.
Elliott graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
As chief financial officer and compliance officer, Shelagh Merenius is responsible for Sturbridge Capital’s day-to-day finance, accounting, audit and treasury functions. As chief compliance officer, Merenius monitors the firm’s compliance with laws, regulations, contractual agreements, internal policies, fiduciary obligations and ethical standards.
Merenius brings to Sturbridge 15 years of experience providing financial, accounting, compliance and tax leadership to private equity investment firms. Prior to joining Sturbridge, Merenius served in the same role for ValStone Partners, LLC, an SEC-registered investment advisor and mid-sized private equity investment firm in Birmingham, Mich. Her background includes more than 35 years in corporate finance and public accounting.
Merenius earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from St. Mary’s College in Notre Dame, Indiana.
Diane Meisser - Director of Administration
Diane Meisser is Sturbridge Capital’s director of administration. She serves as the Sturbridge’s office manager and oversees all day-to-day administrative functions. She’s responsible for the firm’s data collection, recordkeeping, and human resources.
Meisser previously was an administrative manager in the Southfield, Mich. office of Wind Point Partners, a Chicago-based middle-market private equity firm with $2.5 billion of assets under management. She also brings nearly 20 years of experience in the legal field, in which she worked as legal secretary, legal assistant and human resources administrator for firms in Minneapolis, Minn., and Bloomfield Hills, Mich.
Meisser is a graduate of Northern Michigan University in Marquette, Mich.
Meredith Meyer - Marketing
Meredith Meyer has 25 years of public relations and marketing experience.
Meyer served as media relations manager at Henry Ford Health System, where she was responsible for the day-to-day media coverage of Henry Ford Hospital – a 903-bed Level 1 trauma center, and more than two-dozen medical centers.
Previous to joining Henry Ford Health System, Meyer was an account executive at Hermanoff & Associates, a full-service public relations firm in Farmington Hills, Mich., where she managed public relations activities for clients including Botsford Hospital and McDonald’s of Southeast Michigan.
Meyer also worked in automotive promotions for Campbell Marketing and Communications in Dearborn, Mich., and interned at WDIV-TV4 and WJR-AM760 in Detroit.
She earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Mich.
Pam Diener - Assistant Controller
As assistant controller, Pamela Diener is responsible for accounting and reporting compliance for the Sturbridge Capital management company.
Diener brings to Sturbridge Capital 35 years in public accounting, tax planning and small-business bookkeeping. She most recently worked for Bert Stein CPA PC, in West Bloomfield, Mich.
Diener attended Michigan State University in East Lansing.
